Emotional Freedom Technique
What is EFT?
EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique is an effective and quick remedy for emotional issues and chronic pain. The therapy fundamentally addresses negative energy issues inside our bodies. This is done in a very gentle and non-invasive way; the therapist taps on the acupuncture points while the client verbalises (therefore bringing to the conscious mind) the difficulties being experienced. The therapy interrupts the negative flow of energy and allows these intense feelings to subside.
How is it Used in Clinic?
Used regularly in clinic as both a compliment to hypnotherapy and a stand-alone therapy. It is very effectively used along side hypnosis, but can be equally effective for certain conditions, and particularly as an alternative to hypnotherapy.
How Can it Help You?
Our experience has been that this therapy is effective, fast and incredibly powerful. Most people seen in clinic experience successful treatment within one or two sessions. Clients often learn the process for their own self-treatment (if appropriate) and our clinic provides printed resources for reference.
Does it Last?
Our experience is that the effects of EFT do last. It wholly depends on why it is being used and with phobias (for instance) the EFT fundamentally breaks the cycle of fear and positive benefits start a chain-reaction of recovery. It becomes easier and easier to address fears and it can be life-changing.
